Jennifer Reynolds, LCSW is a warm and caring clinician who provides strengths-based and skill building psychotherapy services to adolescents and adults. She has a particular interest in working with couples and incorporates evidence-based practices, mindfulness, grounding, and somatic techniques when working with clients of all ages.
In her work with teens, adults and couples, Ms. Reynolds focuses on partnering with her clients to clearly identify their goals and work with them to practice skills and techniques proven to assist in resolving conflicts, improving communication and promoting a balanced, healthy life.
Ms. Reynolds believes a trusting and cohesive relationship between therapist and client is essential in the therapeutic process. Within this relationship, she uses an integrative approach to facilitating psychotherapy which includes assessing client’s presenting issues, diagnosis, history, relationship and communication history/patterns, attachment style, and social support. This information helps her determine the potential theoretical approach rather than applying a “one size fits all” theory. She uses a variety of modalities, as appropriate, to achieve a client’s treatment goals in a safe, empathetic, supportive, and non-judgmental environment of mutual respect and trust. Ms. Reynolds also works with her clients to develop effective and practicable coping skills and strategies that help clients achieve their goals and lead a more rewarding and intentional life.
Ms. Reynolds started her professional career as a Registered Respiratory Therapist with the US Navy. She is a 2013 graduate of the Master of Social Work program at the Catholic University of America. Ms. Reynolds joins CFA from Sheppard Pratt’s Trauma-Informed School Program based in Montgomery County, Maryland. At Sheppard Pratt, Ms. Reynolds provided therapy for adults, and adolescents whose school performance and outcomes were significantly impacted by PTSD, anxiety, depression, and grief.
